Overview

APPOINTMENT OF AN ACCREDITED OR QUALIFIED FUNERAL UNDERTAKER FOR PROVISION OF BURIAL SERVICES OF PAUPERS FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (03) YEARS (RE-ADVERT). Polokwane Municipality invites bids from funeral undertakers that are accredited/qualified, meet SCM requirements (including CSD/tax verification), and are not in the service of the state. The contract runs for three years and is an open tender with a closing date of 18 September 2026, subject to the stated submission deadline. Requirements

• Compliance with Polokwane SCM requirements (CSD number and/or SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN, or pre-award procedures). (see document PM13-25 - 26 ...)
• Not in the service of the state and not listed on Bid Defaulters registers; no conflicts of interest.
• Service provider must have a competence certificate and be registered with NFDA, SAFPA, IFDA or FFPSA, with proof attached.
• Proof of municipal rates/taxes or lease agreement for business premises; ability to demonstrate financial capability.
• If foreign, complete the pre-award questionnaire; comply with the PPPFA and GCC; sign standard bid forms.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 18 September 2026 at 10:00 (or 08:00 per metadata); bids deposited in the Polokwane Bid Box by the stated time; bids opened in public. Document notes show 10:00 as closing time. (see PM13-25/26)
• Submission method: deliver fully priced, sealed bid responses to Polokwane Municipality Bid Box, Civic Centre, corner Bodenstein and Landdros Mare Street. (see PM13-25/26)
• Documents to submit: official bid forms and schedules (Forms A–F, MBD 3.1 price schedule, MBD 4–9 declarations) and any required attachments; proof of municipal payments; tax clearance where applicable. (see Schedule of Contents)
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: CSD number or SARS TCS PIN; for foreign suppliers, pre-award questionnaire; may submit TCS certificate; if no TCS, provide CSD number. (see Part B)
• Briefing session: none required; no compulsory briefing session. (see Part A)
