APPOINTMENT OF SECURITY SERVICES FOR UMSUNDUZI MUSEUM

Overview

Procurement of security services for uMsunduzi Museum to provide 24/7 security at uMsunduzi (and related museums) for 36 months. The open tender seeks PSIRA-registered providers capable of delivering day/night guards (minimum Grade Cs), a site supervisor (Grade B), a 24-hour control room, armed response vehicles, and a service level agreement, with VAT-inclusive pricing.

Requirements

• PSIRA registration; guards: 1 day shift and 2 night shifts per weekday (Grade Cs); weekends/holidays: 2 day and 2 night guards (Grade Cs); site supervisor minimum Grade B.
• Minimum 5 years’ security experience; 24-hour on-site control room with direct radio link; two armed-response vehicles located in Pietermaritzburg.
• Guards to carry standard equipment (torch, handcuffs, pepper spray, radio, baton) and be paid per stipulated security rates; CPIC certificate and CVs with copies; proof of business address; company profile; photos of control room and two armed-response vehicles; vehicle logbooks or valid lease.
• Documentation: BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; three references; company registration; PSIRA proof; Grade C guard certificate; certified director IDs; quotation breakdown on company letterhead.
• Financial/compliance: Valid tax clearance (or SARS PIN/CSD); complete SBD forms (SBD 1, 3.3, 4, 6.1, 7.2, 8, 9); CSD reference where applicable.
• Contract and performance: three-year term; budgets per year with grand total (VAT included); SLA; weekly officer rosters; replacement officers available within one hour; 7 days a week (365 days).
• Evaluation: 80/20 price/points; minimum 70/100 points for functionality; criteria include references (40), qualifications/experience (40), vehicles (10), control room (10).

• Documents to submit: SBD 1, SBD 3.3 Pricing Schedule, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, SBD 7.2, SBD 8, SBD 9, BBBEE/affidavit, tax clearance, CSD, and company/employee documentation; include pricing schedule with staff roles and rates.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: PSIRA; Tax/ SARS PIN or TCS; CSD number; BBBEE status.

• Award terms: Lowest bid not guaranteed; 120-day bid validity; SLA to be signed; control rooms inspected.
