Overview

Appointment of service provider for supply and delivery of Colilert consumables for the microbiological analysis of water. Suitable bidders are suppliers of Colilert reagents and related consumables, capable of delivering within 10 working days after order, and meeting tax, supplier database (CSD) and, if applicable, CIDB requirements. The 80/20 evaluation includes 80 points for price and 20 points for specific goals (BOE, KwaZulu-Natal location, youth ownership).

Requirements

• Valid Tax Clearance Certificate and SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN, or provide CSD number for verification.
• If claiming specific goals, provide full CSD report (BOE, location in KwaZulu-Natal, youth ownership/control).
• CIDB registration with the required grade (or active status) if applicable.
• Complete and submit all tender documents: Tender Form, Pricing Schedule, Data Sheets (e.g., Declaration of Interest, Authority to Sign, MBD8/9, etc.), with any required oaths.
• Prices must be VAT-inclusive regardless of vendor VAT status; include VAT in quotes.
• Delivery within 10 working days after official order; adhere to GCC 2015 and council conditions.
• Bank account in the tenderer’s legal name; submit CSD/TCS details as required.

• Submission deadline: 12:00 on 04 September 2026; sealed bids in the Tender Box at Msunduzi Central Stores, 2 Abattoir Road, Pietermaritzburg (not via post or email) (Quotation Notice Q12/1389).
• Submission method: sealed envelope in the Tender Box; documents downloaded from etenders.gov.za or obtained from the SCM Unit (5th Floor, A.S. Chetty Centre, 333 Church Street) for a fee of R265.56.
• Documents to submit: fully completed Tender Form, Pricing Schedule, Data Sheets (1–8) and Annexures A–G as applicable; ensure signatures and Commissioner stamps where required.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: CSD number, TCS PIN (or VAT/commercial equivalents); CIDB registration if required.
