Overview

Procurement of a service provider to supply and deliver a demolition breaker and a high-pressure cleaner for Greater Edendale and Vulindlela depots, Roads and Stormwater section. Suitable bidders are those with experience in supplying and delivering mechanical/electrical plant and equipment, with appropriate registrations (CIDB, ECB for electrical works, IOPSA for plumbing as applicable) and compliance with the municipality’s SCM and preferential procurement policies.

Requirements

• Valid Tax Clearance and SARS TCS PIN (or approved CSD registration) to trade with the state; VAT status must be respected.
• CIDB registration/grading (and ECB registration for electrical works; IOPSA for plumbing if relevant).
• Completion and signing of all data sheets and forms (e.g., Data Sheets 1–8, MBD 4/7/9, Pricing Schedule) with Commissioner of Oaths where required.
• Prices to be VAT-inclusive; total bid must be on the official Tender Form; provide a Pricing Schedule for 1 demolition breaker and 1 high-pressure cleaner.
• 14-working-day delivery period after award; delivery to City Engineers Department, 150 Mayors Walk, Pietermaritzburg.
• Site briefing not applicable for this tender; adherence to GCC 2015 and relevant council conditions.
• Preference points: 80/20 system with specific goals (BOE and women). Full CSD report required to claim points.
