Overview

Appointment of service provider to supply and delivery of inspection tools for the Msunduzi Human Settlements Unit. The tools include measuring wheels (industrial, 0–10 000 m), measuring tapes (30 m), and handheld metal detectors. Sealed quotations are invited for delivery to Pietermaritzburg, with delivery required within 30 working days of order.

Requirements

• Mandatory Site Inspection/Tender Briefing attendance (certificate to be signed at the meeting).
• Tax compliance: valid Tax Clearance and SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN; CSD number if no TCS.
• CIDB registration/active status as applicable; indicate CIDB number.
• B-BBEE: complete Annexure C and provide proof for preference points (Black-owned, Woman/Youth-owned, Local).
• Pricing to be on the official forms; VAT included in all prices.
• Complete Data Sheets (e.g., Declaration of Interest, Authority to Sign, Pricing Schedule, etc.) and any required annexures; where applicable, stamp by Commissioner of Oaths.
• Delivery: within 30 working days; penalties of R500/day for late delivery.
• Registration prerequisites: CSD/TCS/CIDB as specified; ECB/IOPSA where relevant.

How to Apply

• Obtain bid documents from Msunduzi SCM or download from the National Treasury etenders portal (R275.40 tender fee). (see Q12-1386 document)
• Prepare and submit a sealed quotation for Q12/1386 OF 26/27 by 12:00 on 14 October 2026, in the Tender Box at Central Stores, 2 Abattoir Road, Pietermaritzburg.
• Include: Tender Form and Data Sheets 1–8, Pricing Schedule, Annexures A–G, Tax Clearance PIN or CSD number, CIDB/ECB/IOPSA proofs if applicable, BBBEE documentation.
• Attend the Site Inspection/Tender Briefing at 19 Gallway Lane, 5th Floor, Pietermaritzburg (bring the Site Briefing Certificate).
