Overview

The KwaZulu-Natal Legislature seeks a service provider to render cleaning and hygiene services for a 36-month period. Bidders should be experienced cleaning/hygiene service providers capable of supplying all materials and equipment, maintaining strict safety/quality standards, and meeting the KZN Province-specific preference goals.

• Target bidders: cleaning/hygiene service providers with proven capability to staff 22 personnel (2 supervisors, 20 cleaners), provide supervision, and manage full service delivery across the Legislature complex.

• Compliance focus: Labour, Sectoral Determination for Contract Cleaning, SABS/SANS standards, tax/certification, CSD registration.

• Preference points: 80/20 with 20 points for specific goals (25% black-owned, 25% youth, 25% black women, KZN residency).

Requirements

• 36-month contract; prices firm for the period; VAT inclusive.
• Staffing: 22 cleaners (2 supervisors, 20 cleaners); supervisor presence; uniforms; supervision arrangements.
• Materials/equipment: bidder supplies all cleaning materials and equipment; Legislature does not provide them.
• Compliance: Labour Relations Act, Sectoral Determination for Contract Cleaning; SABS/SANS standards; UIF and tax compliance; CSD registration; SARS PIN; JV must have separate TCS/PIN.
• Insurance: public liability cover of at least R1,000,000.
• Other: confidentiality, safety, references, and potential multiple awards allowed.
