Overview

Procurement of a panel of service providers to supply lubricants to Great North Transport (GNT) for a 24-month period. This opportunity targets lubricant suppliers with OEM-certified products (SCANIA F94/F95, MAN HB4, HINO 500, MERCEDES-BENZ), capable of nationwide depot delivery, and compliant with SA procurement requirements.

Requirements

• OEM approvals and OEM-conformant lubricants (SCANIA F94/F95, MAN HB4, HINO 500, Mercedes-Benz); OEM testing/acceptance required.
• Delivery capability: bulk storage or 210L drums; delivery within 24 hours of order (Turnaround: ~2 days as per spec); all orders must meet OEM approvals.
• Insurance: Public Liability Insurance minimum R3 million (or documented intention to procure).
• Compliance and registration: registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD); SARS Tax Compliance Status (PIN) or CSD number; tax clearance where applicable.
• Bid documentation: responses in English; SBD forms completed and signed; include referees (minimum three) and organizational certificates; authority to sign (board resolution) if a company.
• Evaluation readiness: SLA upon award; supplier scorecard proposal; compliance with General Conditions of Contract; potential for site inspection and partial award; adherence to 80/20 preference framework with specific goals (CSD proof for Black ownership, Women, Youth, Disability, SMEs, Limpopo location).
• Quality control: SABS CoC/Mark of approval for products; maintain 12–18 month warranty framework as per GCC.

How to Apply

• Briefing: compulsory briefing on 10 July 2026 at 10:00 at Great North Transport Head Office, 130 A Marshall Street, Polokwane. Sign the attendance register.
• Submission: hard copies in duplicate plus one USB PDF, sealed in an envelope labeled GNT/LUBRICANTS/06/2026; submit to the GNT bid box at 130A Marshall Street, Polokwane (not at regional offices).
• Documents to submit: complete responses using the prescribed format; include SBD 1, SBD 3.1 (Pricing), SBD 4 (Bidder’s Disclosure), SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Form), tax/CSR documentation, and authority/resolutions.
• Registrations and pre-qualifications: provide CSD number or SARS TCS PIN; ensure tax clearance; each consortium member must supply separate TCS/CSD if applicable.
• Deadline and validity: deadline 30 July 2026 at 11:00; responses valid for 120 days.
