APPOINTMENT OF THE SERVICE PROVIDER FOR THE SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRICAL FENCING FOR THE NHBRC HEAD-OFFICE (SUNNINGHILL)

Overview

Procurement of a service provider to supply, install, and maintain a high-security electrified fencing system for the NHBRC Head-Office (Sunninghill). Open to security/security-installation contractors with PSIRA registration, a Department of Labour-accredited installer, CIDB registration (minimum 3EB or higher; 2SQ or GB), and ability to meet local-content, insurance, and regulatory requirements. The contract covers the design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and 24-month maintenance of the fencing system.

Requirements

• PSIRA registration valid
• Department of Labour accredited installer
• CIDB registration: level 3EB or higher, and 2SQ or GB
• Local Content: form 6.2 and Annexures C, D, E
• Public liability, product liability and professional indemnity insurance of at least R1 million (or LOI)
• SBD 4 and SBD 6.1 submitted
• Compliance with SA standards and regs: SANS 10222-3, SANS 60335-2-76, SANS 10142, Electrical Machinery Regulations, National Building Regulations
• Provide 24-month maintenance, COC after installation, testing/commissioning, and staff training
• Submission must include project plan in PDF and demonstrate timelines/critical paths
