Overview

Procurement of VMware vSphere Foundation licenses (256 cores) with 3 years of support, plus one VMware vCenter server license, to be supplied, installed and configured by the service provider. Bidders should have VMware installation and SAN integration capabilities for server virtualization, plus accreditation (Broadcom partner) and relevant regulatory compliance (CSD, SARS tax status). Suitable for ICT infrastructure providers with experience in SAN storage (IBM V9000) and fibre channel connectivity.

Requirements

• 256-core VMware vSphere Foundation licenses + 1 VMware vCenter server license for 3 years.
• Installation and configuration by certified technicians; VMware certificate or proven capability; CV for SAN switch technician.
• 3-year post‑sales support.
• Accreditation: Broadcom partner documentation.
• Compliance: CSD registration, SARS tax compliance (PIN/TCS), tax clearance; BBBEE optional.
• Evidence of 2 prior projects of similar scope within 60 months with reference letters.
• Delivery scope: installation on NRF’s 8 servers and 2 IBM SAN switches; storage path configuration via Fibre Channel.
