APPOINTMENTS OF SERVICE PROVIDER FOR ELECTRICAL METER UPGRADE FOR MANGUZI/ SUNDUMBILI/ NONGOMA FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARSClosed

Overview

The procurement is to appoint a service provider to upgrade electrical meters at Manguzi, Sundumbili and Nongoma for three years. There are two related RFQs with similar scope: RFQ 191/58000/2026 (closing 22 May 2026) and RFQ 250/58000/2026 (closing 11 August 2026; extended by addendum). Issuer: Ithala Development Finance Corporation; this is an Open Tender.

Requirements

• CSD vendor registration, SARS PIN/TCS status, and CIDB grading 1EB/1EP or higher. If a consortium, each party must submit separate TCS/Pin/CSD.
• Tax compliance required; COIDA good standing.
• SBD 1 (invitation to bid) and SBD 4 (declaration of interest) completed; SBD 7 to be signed if contract awarded.
• CIDB prerequisite: 1EB/1EP or higher.
• Preference points: 80/20 or 90/10 depending on PPPFA; specific goals include ≥51% Black/Women/Youth ownership and disability ownership with points allocated.
• Site briefing: RFQ191 requires compulsory briefings at multiple sites (RFQ191_58000_026.pdf): Sundumbili 13-May-26 10:00, Nongoma 13-May-26 14:00, Manguzi 14-May-26 10:00, Tugela Ferry 15-May-26 10:30 (Centre addresses in Annexure). RFQ250 notes site briefing is not compulsory (RFQ250_58000_026.pdf).
