ASSESSMENT, PACKAGING, COLLECTION, TRANSPORTATION AND APPROPRIATE TREATMENT AND/OR DISPOSAL OF EXPIRED AND UNWANTED LABORATORY CHEMICALS AT KHARKAMS COMBINED SCHOOL

NRWDI invites quotes for the assessment, packaging, collection, transportation and appropriate treatment and/or disposal of expired and unwanted laboratory chemicals at Kharkams Combined School. The RFQ NRWDI/COMM/2026-19 targets qualified chemical-waste management providers with SA licences/permits for handling, packaging, transporting and disposing of chemical waste, including a competent technical lead, traceability and final certificates. Bidders should be able to comply with SA environmental, waste-management, occupational-safety and dangerous-goods transport requirements, and must demonstrate licences/permits, facility authorisations and capacity to accept waste.

Requirements

• Valid licences/permits: Waste Management Licence or permit for proposed treatment/disposal; waste transporter registration/permit; relevant dangerous-goods and driver qualifications (PrDPs, DG training); chemical-hazardous-waste training certificates; and evidence of applicable authorisations.
• Subcontractors: if used, provide their authorisations and defined roles.
• Receiving facilities: identify authorised facilities and provide evidence of capacity/acceptance.
• Technical/Project plan: site-specific work plan, risk assessment, incident response, methodology and implementation plan; CVs and qualifications for the technical lead; three client reference letters.
• Traceability and close-out: verified inventory, collection records, manifests, facility receipts, disposal certificates and a reconciled close-out report.
• Compliance and administration: ISO 9001 status (if applicable), BBBEE certificate or affidavit, tax clearance, CSD registration, and completed SBD forms (SBD4 and SBD6.1).
• Delivery window and delivery evidence: ability to complete by 30 October 2026; quotation validity for 60 working days.
