Overview

Aurora Substation – Stringing and Cabling. Procurement of high‑voltage cabling and stringing works at Aurora Substation under NEC3 ECC3; open to qualified electrical transmission contractors with HV experience and the required CIDB grade.

• Target bidders: HV transmission line contractors with relevant certification, CIDB registration, and ability to comply with Eskom NTCSA tender requirements.

Requirements

• CIDB registration (main contractor) and, if a JV/consortium, related requirements for JV members.
• Compliance with local content and PPPFA requirements; submission of SBD 6.2 (Local Content) and related Annexures.
• Tax compliance: Tax Clearance/VAT/SARS PIN as applicable; local and foreign tenderers per Annexure 1.1.9–1.1.12.
• CSD registration and proof of current status (mandatory for local origin bidders).
• Employment Equity compliance (proof if designated employer).
• Safety, environmental, COIDA requirements; proof of insurances and safety programs.
• Integrity/ethics declarations: Supplier Declaration of Interest and Supplier Integrity Pact.
• Returnables and contracts: completed annexures A–K, Schedule of Deviations, and NEC3 ECC3 documentation (as indicated in the ITT).
• Pricing: priced BOQ (PDF and Excel) and any required deviations or pricing schedules (BOQ attached as “BOQ Stringing & Cabling.xlsx”).
• Functionality/technical criteria to be met per the separate Technical Evaluation Standard document.

How to Apply

• Clarification/site briefing: on site at Aurora Substation, 12 Aug 2026, 11:00–14:00 (attend encouraged; see ITT for details; see file 2026.07.24_(ITT)...).
• Closing deadline: 24 August 2026 at 10:00 SA time (late tenders not accepted; refer to ITT document for exact timing).
• Submission method: electronic submissions via NTCSA E‑tendering site (etendering.eskom.co.za).
