Overview

Appointment of an electrical contractor for the supply, delivery and installation of 1 high mast at Emoyeni 2 for Greater Kokstad Municipality. This open tender seeks a CIDB 2EP+ contractor to supply, deliver and install one high mast, with a compulsory briefing on 5 Oct 2026 and closing 15 Oct 2026. Bidders should have suitable electrical/construction capability, be tax compliant, registered on the CIDB and Central Supplier Database, and meet BBBEE and municipal-clearance requirements.

Requirements

• CIDB grade 2EP or higher.
• Tax/compliance: SARS PIN/TCS; VAT registration; tax clearance; separate TCS for Joint Ventures; CSD number if no TCS; vendor to be compliant with municipal rates.
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration and CIDB certificate; detailed CSD and proof of governance where applicable.
• BBBEE: BBBEE status level certificate or sworn affidavit for EMEs/QSEs; to claim preference points.
• Returnable documents: MBD1 (offer and prices), MBD4 (declaration of interests), MBD6.1 (preference points), MBD8/9 ( SCM practices and integrity); copies of CIDB, tax documents, COID, registration certificates, etc.
• Proof that company and directors do not owe municipal rates or service charges for more than 90 days.
• Compulsory site/briefing attendance and sign-in; evaluation will include functionality (min 60 points) and a two-stage process (80/20 with price and preferences).
• If a JV, separate TCS/CSD for each party and lead partner identification.
