Overview

The Department of Agriculture (Eastern Cape) invites bids for the planning, design, tender documentation, tender evaluation, construction supervision, contract administration and close-out for the Dohne Quarantine Station Project in Amahlathi LM, Amathole District. This is a professional consultancy-led engagement requiring a team of built-environment professionals (e.g., Project Manager, Architect, Civil/Structural/Electrical/Geotechnical Engineers, QS, Surveyor, Environmental Practitioner) with appropriate CIDB and ECSA registrations to lead the design, documentation and construction management.

Requirements

• Professional registration with ECSA (active) and CIDB accreditation; suitable experience on similar projects.
• Tax matters in order and verification via CSD; good standing with Compensation Fund or licensed insurer.
• Returnable documents completed: SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1; Compulsory Enterprise Questionnaire; Form of Offer and Acceptance; proof of preferential points.
• Ability to form a legal entity, partnership, or consortium; if JV/consortium, provide required party documentation.
• Compliance with CIDB Professional Services Contract (Third Edition) 2009; use of CIDB/SCM processes; professional indemnity insurance.
• Subcontracting requires Engineer approval; all signatories authorized; no alternative tenders.
