CALL FOR ARTISTS AND SCULPTORS’ MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARTISTS TO SUBMIT PROFILES AND PORTFOLIOS.

Overview

This call seeks to identify Limpopo-based artists to submit profiles and portfolios for the acquisition and commissioning of artworks for the Limpopo Provincial Theatre. It invites painting, sculpture, textile/beadwork, carving, mixed-media, photography, printmaking, contemporary installations and public art from established and emerging Limpopo artists, to demonstrate a meaningful connection to the province’s culture and themes.

Requirements

• Phase 1 Mandatory Requirements:

• Artistic Quality & Technical Competence: portfolio with clear photographs (min five examples)

• Relevance to Limpopo Cultural Heritage: portfolio with brief descriptions

• Artist Experience & Track Record: certified ID copy plus CV/profile and completed commissions

• Originality & Artistic Identity: artist statement

• Professional Capacity & Reliability: references or evidence of completed commissions

• Locality with Limpopo Province: letter from Traditional Authority or municipal bill not older than 12 months

• Phase 2: Functionality Criteria (min 70/100)

• Submission deadline: 11 November 2026 at 11:00 (bid validity 120 days).
• Submission method: deliver in the tender box at 21 Biccard Street, Olympic Towers, Polokwane 0699; one original copy sealed.
• Documents to submit: use the prescribed Artist Profile Submission Form (Volume 12 2026 TOR Call for Artists and Sculptors.pdf) with minimum 5 artworks, CV, Limpopo connection evidence, artwork details, and portfolio link.
