Overview

Call to add service providers to the existing MHSC panel of technical experts to render technical review services for MHSC research projects and initiatives. The project seeks to supplement the panel for a five-year period to provide technical reviews and advisory services across nine thrust areas, on an as-needed basis (QBE, panel utilisation). Open to individuals or companies with at least 10 years’ relevant experience; Masters degrees required for the experts; CVs and references mandatory. Requirements

• Minimum experience: individuals or company-based experts must have at least 10 years in the thrust areas; individuals must hold a Master’s degree; each company expert must have a Master’s degree.
• Documentation: CVs clearly tied to thrust areas; minimum of several reference letters; copies of qualifications; evidence of tax/compliance status; proof of CSD/SARS status as applicable.
• Compliance: register on Central Supplier Database (CSD); Tax Compliance Status or SARS PIN; complete SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1; prepare for SBD 7 upon award; avoid fronting/collusion.
• Evaluation (Stage 1): technical/functional with a 70% threshold per thrust area; must indicate YES/NO for each thrust area; multi-thrust bids require CVs that separate experience per thrust area.
• Thrust areas (MHSC thrust areas): Human factors; Falls of ground; Rock bursts; Explosions and fires; Machinery and transport systems; Airborne pollutants/chemical hazards; Physical hazards; Occupational diseases/occupational medicine; Special/general projects.
