Overview

CapeNature requires a service provider to prepare draft Protected Area Management Plans and Annual Plans of Operation for twenty-eight nature reserves. The work suits environmental planning and biodiversity stewardship consultancies with experience in drafting PAMPs and APOs, and with knowledge of NEM: Protected Areas Act, Western Cape Biodiversity Act, and CapeNature’s Management Support Framework, including coordination with landowners/management authorities.

Requirements

• Proven experience drafting Protected Area Management Plans (PAMP) and Annual Plans of Operation (APO) for protected areas or biodiversity stewardship sites
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks (NEM: PAA, WC Biodiversity Act) and ability to align deliverables to the APO template (Annexure E)
• Strong technical writing, project management and stakeholder-engagement skills; capable of delivering for 28 reserves
• Proficiency in MS Office/Excel for APO templates and reporting; ability to produce maps and appendices
