Overview

The Moqhaka Local Municipality seeks a catering service for a Wellness Program (RFQ 2/1/001/2026-27). The event (21 August 2026 at Loubserpark, Kroonstad) requires beverage and meal service including fruit packs, water, a braai lunch with sides, and juice, with service equipment provided by the bidder. Preference will be given to bidders residing in Moqhaka Local Municipality with valid BBBEE status or sworn affidavit, under the municipality’s Preferential Procurement Policy.

Requirements

• Locality preference: within Moqhaka Local Municipality and BBBEE status (certificate or sworn affidavit).
• Compliance documents: Tax Clearance, CIDB (if applicable), CSD registration proof, bank details, company registration docs, IDs of directors.
• BBBEE: SANAS-accredited certificate or sworn affidavit; claim points under MBD6.1.
• References: at least 3 verifiable reference letters demonstrating similar catering work.
• Pricing and scope: bid must meet the Scope of Works (Section 2.1) and pricing schedule; price range noted (R30,000–R300,000).
• Additional requirements: bring own catering cutlery and food warmers; evidence of compliance with specifications; no pork in menu.
• Submission rules: original RFQ must be completed in black ink; no retyping; sealed envelopes; documents to be submitted in hard copy (no email submissions).

• Document set: complete original RFQ and all required annexes (MBD1, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD7.1, MBD8, MBD9), pricing schedule, CIDB/TAX/CSD docs, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, three reference letters, CSD proof, bank details.
