Overview

RFQ for catering services for Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo's Women’s Day Event. Bidders should be professional caterers with halal/vegetarian capability, VAT-registered, COIDA good standing, and CSD registration, capable of serving ~700 attendees with beverages, meals, and required equipment (cups, plates, utensils, etc.). CIDB grading is not applicable.

Requirements

• Complete BOQ/specifications and provide valid Health Certificate.
• COIDA (Letter of Good Standing) and halal certificate in bidder’s name (or signed JV with halal holder).
• Proof of address for directors (latest municipal statement or lease), valid IDs for owners.
• Proof of registration with CSD; if applicable, JV agreement with required documentation.
• Tax/compliance: SARS TCS PIN or printed TCS certificate; where applicable, separate TCS for each JV/party.
• All tender documents completed; no correction fluid (initial corrections only).
• All prices inclusive of VAT; prepare a firm quotation; comply with 80/20 evaluation (price 80, specific goals 20).

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 11 August 2026 at 12:00, on closing date between 8:00–12:00 (boxes at JCPZ House entrance, 40 De Korte Street). (see JCPZ-RFQ-HC01-2026.pdf)
• Submission method: sealed envelopes placed in the quotation box at the entrance on the closing date.
• Documents to submit: RFQ response forms and MBD forms (MBD1, MBD3.1 pricing, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9) plus the pricing schedule; also attach BOQ/compliance evidence. (see JCPZ-RFQ-HC01-2026.pdf)
• Registrations: CSD vendor number; SARS TCS/PIN where required; B-BBEE verification as applicable.
• Briefing/site visit: Compulsory site meeting is listed as N/A.

• Evaluation uses 80/20 preferences: price 80 points; Specific Goals (51%+ women-owned 10 points; locality within COJ 10 points) total 20 points.
