Overview

Open tender for the 1.5 megalitre extension of the Clanwilliam Wastewater Treatment Plant (CED 10/2026-2027). Bidders must have CIDB grading of 8CE or higher and be registered in the applicable class. A site clarification meeting is required, and a non-refundable tender deposit is payable.

Requirements

• CIDB grading 8CE or higher with valid proof; registration in the applicable class.
• Registration on National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database (CSD) and submission of Tax Clearance/TCS Pin/CSD number with the bid.
• Completion of the Preference Point Claim form under the Preferential Procurement Regulations; bid price must be VAT inclusive; evaluation per Council SCM Policy.
• Bids to be completed in black ink on the original bid documentation; no late, incomplete, or fax/email submissions; no proof of submission accepted.
• Tender deposit of R1140.00 (VAT inclusive) to Standard Bank; provide Proof of Payment to collect documents; deposit reference: CED 10/2026-2027 – Company Name.
• Attend the compulsory site clarification meeting on 17 September 2026 at 11:00 (Council Chambers, 2A Voortrekker Street, Clanwilliam).
• Bids are valid for 120 days after closing date.

How to Apply

• Closing date/time: 9 October 2026 at 12:00; bids opened publicly thereafter (CED 10/2026-2027).
• Submission: sealed envelopes endorsed with the tender number, deposited in the Tender Box at the Cederberg Municipality, 2A Voortrekker Street, Clanwilliam. Bids must be on documents issued by the Municipality.
• Payment and documents: pay R1140.00 deposit; proof of payment required to collect documents.
• Obtain documents: site clarification meeting; electronic copies available for information purposes on request via fergus@udsafrica.co.za from 04 September 2026, with POP attached (CED 10/2026-2027).
• Required documents to submit: CSD/TCS proof; Tax Clearance/TCS Pin; CIDB proof; completed Preference Point Form; VAT-inclusive bid price.
