Overview

Upgrading of roads & stormwater in Clanwilliam: Phase 1. Tenders invited by Cederberg Municipality for civil works to upgrade roads and stormwater in Clanwilliam. Eligible bidders should have a CIDB grading of 7CE or higher and be registered in the applicable class; must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and hold a valid Tax Clearance/TCS Pin. A compulsory site clarification meeting will be held; a non-refundable tender deposit of R1140 (VAT inclusive) is payable to Standard Bank; electronic tender documents are available on request with proof of payment. Bids must be submitted on documents issued by the Municipality and remain valid for 120 days.

Requirements

• CIDB grading of 7CE or higher with proof.
• Registered in the applicable CIDB class.
• CSD registration and Tax Clearance/TCS Pin (submit with bid).
• Attend the compulsory tender clarification meeting (02 Sep 2026, 11:00, Council Chambers).
• Non-refundable tender deposit of R1140 (VAT inclusive); pay to Standard Bank and provide proof to collect documents.
• Complete the Preferential Points form for evaluation; bid price must be VAT inclusive.
• Bids must be on original bid docs, completed in black ink; no late, incomplete, faxed, or emailed submissions.
• Bids evaluated per Council SCM Policy; valid for 120 days.

How to Apply

• Obtain documents: site clarification meeting; book in advance. Electronic copies available for information via email from Fergus Swartz starting 26 Aug 2026 with Proof of Payment attached (see file “CED 11/2026-2027 - UPGRADING OF ROADS & STORMWATER IN CLANWILLIAM: PHASE 1”).
• Pay deposit: R1140 to Standard Bank (Branch 05-0106, Acc. 082 163 324); reference “CED 11/2026-2027 – Company Name”; provide POP to collect documents.
• Register pre-qualifications: ensure CSD registration and Tax Clearance/TCS Pin are provided with the bid.
• Prepare bid: use original documents; complete all forms (including Preference Point form); ensure pricing is VAT inclusive.
• Site briefing: attend compulsory clarification session on 02 Sep 2026 at 11:00 (Council Chambers, Clanwilliam).
• Submit bid: sealed envelope endorsed with “TENDER NO. CED 11/2026-2027: UPGRADING OF ROADS & STORMWATER IN CLANWILLIAM: PHASE 1” and deposited in the Tender Box at 2A Voortrekker Street, Clanwilliam. (See attached file for reference.)
