Overview

The procurement is for the completion of RWC 549 Phase 2 Mutithi–Kagio Phase II: Getuya–Kagumo / Rukanga–Kabiriri / Gwa Chomba-Kianjagi, a road works contract. Open to eligible construction companies with civil works/road construction capabilities (including joint ventures subject to ITT requirements). Bidder qualifications include compliance with Kenyan public procurement rules, National Construction Authority (NCA) registration before contract signature, and foreign input rules where applicable.

Requirements

• Eligibility: open to private firms, state-owned entities, or JVs; no debarment; no conflicts of interest; compliance with PPAA/Competition Act; JV arrangements must be properly constituted.
• Local content: foreign bidders must source at least 40% of inputs from Kenyan suppliers/contractors.
• Registration: mandatory NCA registration before contract award/signature.
• Documentation: Form of Tender, BOQ/price schedules, JV agreements if applicable, and other documents listed in the Tender Data.
• Tender security: KShs 2,500,000; security or tender securing declaration as required; for JV, in the JV name.
• Currency and payments: bids and prices in Kenyan Shillings.
• Site/Pre-bid: site visits and pre-tender meeting are open but mandatory; questions process and addenda via the Procuring Entity.
• Other: adherence to all ITTs (preparation, submission, evaluation), and disclosure of ownership/conflicts as required.
