Overview

Completion of RWC 554 Phase 2: Longisa – Kipreres – Sigor/Kaboson – Chebunyo/Olbutyo – Sigor Roads is being procured via an Open Tender. Open to eligible construction contractors with rural-road works experience; bidders must meet Kenyan eligibility rules, obtain NCA registration before contract signature, and comply with local content, tax, and anti-corruption requirements. Requirements

• Eligible Tenderers: not debarred; no conflicts of interest; compliance with anti-corruption and competition laws; Joint Venture rules apply.
• National Construction Authority: registration with NCA required before contract award/signature.
• Local content: foreign bidders must demonstrate at least 40% inputs from Kenyan suppliers/contractors.
• Tax clearance: valid Kenya Revenue Authority tax clearance or exemption.
• Tender security: KShs. 6,000,000 (form: demand guarantee, bankers’ guarantee, etc., per ITT).
• Site/Pre-tender: site visit/open but mandatory; may require a Pre-Tender Site Visit Certificate.
• Document requirements: Form of Tender, priced BOQ, Tender Security, JV agreement or LOI (if applicable), qualifications, and technical proposal.
• Pricing: quoted in Kenya Shillings; all items to be priced; currency and adjustment rules as per ITT.
