Overview

Completion of the upgrading to bitumen standard of RWC 620 Phase 2 roads: MUKHWEYA – KABUCHAI – CHEBUKWA / NAMOSI – MARAKARU & BISUNU – SIRISIA. This is an open tender for civil works; eligible bidders are road-construction contractors with relevant experience and qualifications to undertake major bitumen-road upgrading in Kenya.

Who should bid: civil works contractors with road construction/uptake experience, Kenyan-registered entities (Citizen Tender), and JV options under specified rules; must meet anti-corruption, conflict-of-interest, and eligibility standards.

Requirements

• Eligible tenderers: compliance with ITT 3 (eligibility, debarment checks, JV rules, conflict of interest) and related requirements; dedication to fair competition and independent tendering.
• Local/foreign content: foreign bidders must source at least 40% of inputs from national suppliers/contractors.
• Qualifications: must be registered with the National Construction Authority (NCA) before contract award; provide tax clearance; meet PPRA/JV exemption processes if applicable.
• Tender security: KShs 2,000,000 as tender security.
