Overview

Provision of borehole drilling with booster pump and water treatment system for Luwamba Clinic (ZNTU04287W), including borehole installation, pump, water treatment and related works. This is a construction tender by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Public Works (CIDB 3CE or higher) with EPWP/local labour requirements; compulsory briefing; and a 6-month contract.

Requirements

• CIDB grading: 3CE or higher.
• Registration on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and a valid SARS Tax Clearance Status (TCS).
• Borehole works require registration with the Borehole Water Association of SA (BWA) and Ground Water Association of KwaZulu-Natal (GAKZN).
• Compliance with EPWP requirements: local labour targets, CLO, community liaison, and EPWP reporting; price for Labour-Intensive Construction (LIC) where applicable.
• Competency for LIC roles: Foreman (NQF 4) and Site Manager/Agent (NQF 5) with appropriate accreditation.
• Provide EPWP data and monthly reporting; local employment preferences and community liaison provisions.
• Pricing must include VAT; follow the GCC for Construction Works (2010) and SANS 1921-1:2004 framework; adherence to standard preambles and Bills of Quantities.
• Site safety, environmental, health and safety plans as required; permits and compliance to law.
• References to statutory and local procurement guidelines (CIDB, CSD, VAT, EPWP).
