Overview

Construction of a walkway canopy at the Swellendam Municipal Stores. Open to contractors with CIDB grading 1GB or higher and suitable building/civil works capability to undertake canopy/building-type works.

Requirements

• CIDB grading 1GB or higher.
• Attendance at compulsory site inspection.
• Submit a valid Tax Compliance Status PIN (SARS).
• Include at least two references in the schedule of work experience for similar projects completed in the last five years.
• Submit quotations on prescribed documents, in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the number/description, to the Municipal Quotation Box.
• Quotation validity: 84 days from closing date; evaluation will be under the Preferential Procurement Policy (80/20).
• Late, email or fax submissions will not be considered.

• Submission method: sealed envelope placed in the Municipal Quotation Box at 11 Lind Street; quotations must be on prescribed documents.
• Documents to submit: Tax Compliance Status PIN; schedule of work experience with two references; other prescribed quotation documents.
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: CIDB 1GB or higher; valid Tax Compliance Status PIN.
• Briefing/site inspection: compulsory on 12 October 2026 at 10:00 at the Municipal Stores (23 Lind Street).
