Overview

Procurement of the supply and delivery of water reticulation maintenance materials for Makana Local Municipality (Sarah Baartman District). Bid No. 37/2026. Materials include pipes, elbows, valves, fittings and related items, to be delivered to Makana LM in Makanda (site to be communicated). Bidders should have CIDB registration, be registered on the CSD, and comply with the 80/20 evaluation (price 80; locality 10; BBBEE 10).

Requirements

• Proof of Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) registration.
• Company CK registration and certified IDs for directors/owners; or relevant alternative (three months municipal statements or lease; affidavit if no municipal charges owed).
• Directors’ municipal statements of account (three months) or equivalent affidavit.
• MBD forms: 4, 6.1, 8, 9 completed.
• Separate declaration of interest form.
• Proof of address for the office dealing with the project (lease or municipal bill) for locality claims.
• B-BBEE Status Level Verification Certificate or sworn affidavit (MBD 6.1).
• Proof of CSD registration prior to bid submission.
• Financial statements if bid value > R10 million (past three years or since establishment).
• All bid pages must be signed in black ink; pricing on MBD 3.1 inclusive of taxes.
• Locality and BBBEE claims supported by original/certified certificates or sworn statements.

How to Apply

• Obtain bid documents: non-refundable R227 from the SBDM SCM Unit (4th Floor, 32 Govan Mbeki Ave, Gqeberha) or download free from the E-Tender Portal or municipal site (Bid 37/2026 Water Reticulation.pdf).
• Submit in a sealed envelope marked “BID NO. 37/2026: SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF WATER RETICULATION MAINTENANCE MATERIALS” to the Bid Box (4th Floor, 32 Govan Mbeki Ave) before 12:00 on 20 October 2026; bids opened publicly in Committee Room 1, 6th Floor.
• Bids must be on official forms; late or incomplete bids are not accepted.
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration is mandatory prior to submission (reference MAAA).
• If participating, ensure full response to all Schedule A–L requirements and submit MBD 1, 4, 6.1, 8, 9 as applicable, plus pricing (MBD 3.1) and BBBEE documentation.
• Site meeting: noted as available (per metadata).
• Evaluation follows 80/20 preference points: price (80), locality (10), BBBEE status (10).
