CONSTRUCTION TO COMPLETION OF TWO STOREY LABORATORY BLOCK

Overview

Procurement of the construction to completion of a two-storey laboratory block at Cheborgei Boys High School. Open to all qualified and interested Tenderers, including foreign and local contractors capable of such works; bidders must meet Kenyan procurement and construction regulations (NCA registration, tax clearance) as specified in the tender documents.

Requirements

• Open Tender for a Works contract; eligibility filters apply (JV rules, no conflicts of interest).
• NCA registration and tax clearance required (precondition for contract award).
• Foreign tenderers must source at least 40% of inputs locally; evidence to be provided in tender.
• Tender Security: 2% of total contract price, from PPRA-approved institution; valid through tender period and any extension.
• Tender validity: 180 days from tender opening.
• JV requirements: if a joint venture, all members jointly and severally liable; JV agreement or letter of intent to execute one.
• Documentation: Form of Tender, schedules/BOQ, tender security, qualifications, technical proposal, and any other documents specified in the tender data sheet.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 10 November 2026 at 2:00 PM (local). Late tenders will be rejected. The tender must be delivered in a sealed envelope to the address provided, clearly marked with Tender Number and Name; outer envelope must not reveal bidder identity. • Submission method: hard-copy/physical submission only; tenders opened immediately after deadline in the School boardroom with attendance.
• Briefing/site visit: mandatory Site Visit/Pre-bid meeting on 3 November 2026 at 2:00 PM at Cheborgei Boys High School; site visit certificate issued on that day.
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, priced Bill of Quantities, Tender Security or Declaration, Qualifications, Conformity/Technical Proposal, JV documents if applicable, and any other forms required by Section IV.
• Pre-qualification/registrations: Registration/validation with NCA (to be completed if tender is successful); tax clearance as evidence of compliance.
