CONTRACTOR APPOINTMENT FOR THE UPGRADE OF MV SWITCHGEAR AT KING PHALO AIRPORT FOR A PERIOD OF 12 MONTHS

Overview

Contractor appointment for the upgrade of MV switchgear and MV cabling at King Phalo Airport for 12 months. This tender is aimed at electrical/infrastructure contractors with CIDB qualification of 6EP or higher (or equivalent) and CIDB registration; joint ventures are allowed provided each member meets CIDB requirements and the lead partner has appropriate grading.

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading of 6EP or higher and CIDB registration (or capability to register prior to evaluation); otherwise unable to be evaluated.
• Joint ventures allowed with: every member CIDB-registered; lead partner meets grading; combined grading meets tender threshold.
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN and Tax Compliance Status (TCS) requirements; separate TCS/CSD for joint ventures or sub-contractors; or provide a CSD number if no TCS.
• Bids on official forms only; no alternatives; comply with GCC, PPPFA, and Special Conditions.
• Compulsory briefing session on 13 October 2026 (10:00) at Admin Office, 66 Settlersway, East London.
• Clarifications by 19 October 2026 (16:00).
• Tender offers: one offer per bidder or JV; returnable documents and price schedules must be submitted; original + copy + electronic copy (USB).
• No price adjustments during contract; fixed rates for 12 months (NEC ECC framework).
• Scope is defined in NEC3 ECC ECC contract; risk/insurance per contract data; detailed site/work information in Part C.
