Overview

Cooling Tower 1 Refurbishment at Grootvlei Power Station is a construction tender for refurbishment of a cooling tower (including mechanical works and asbestos removal). Bidders with NEC3 ECC3 contract experience, CIDB grade 6CE or higher, and capabilities in specialised construction and asbestos handling should bid. Site clarification meeting is compulsory.

Requirements

• CIDB: minimum grade 6CE; every JV member CIDB-registered; lead partner meets required class; combined grading rules apply.
• Mandatory contractual controls: CSD registration; health, safety and environmental compliance; financial viability documentation when required; CIDB-specific goals where applicable.
• Returnables: SBD forms (at least SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, SBD 6.2) and annexures; Pricing Schedule/BOQ (PDF/Excel); pricing data; local content declarations where applicable.
• Other: site will include asbestos removal and mechanical works; basic NEC3 ECC3 framework governs contract; warranty/defect periods and performance securities as specified.
