Overview

Corrosion protection services on an 'as and when required' basis for eleven Eskom peak sites over a five-year period. Bids are sought from providers with corrosion protection/coatings expertise, including NACE/FROSIO coating inspectors, corrosion engineers and SHEQ/OHS/compliance capabilities, able to operate under Eskom’s NEC3 framework across diverse environments.

Requirements

• Compliance with Eskom High-Risk OHS Requirements for Corrosion Protection Services (32-726-02T) and related safety governance (life-saving rules, inductions, site roles).
• Ability to perform corrosion assessment/survey, coating application, remediation/rehabilitation across atmospheric, coastal, freshwater and hydro-mechanical environments.
• Availability of qualified personnel: corrosion engineer or specialist; coating inspector (NACE/FROSIO); registered professional engineer; CIDB registration number; and evidence of relevant safety qualifications.
• NEC3 Term Service Contract (TSC3) capability with per-station pricing (Attachment 5) and execution of Task Orders under NEC guidance.
• Demonstrated compliance with Eskom safety and HR processes, including signing OHS Annexures (e.g., H&S Acknowledgement) and adherence to Life-Saving Rules, driver safety and substance-abuse policies.
• CIDB registration details and standard tender pre-qualification as per Eskom rules.
