Overview

Procurement of a 36-month Sewer Rodding Framework Contractor Panel for the Ethekwini Sanitation Operations Department, to supply rodding crews as and when required. Eligible bidders are civil/construction contractors with CIDB CE 1+ designation or higher and relevant sewer rodding capability; tender is open to registered South African entities.

Requirements

• CIDB: 1 or higher, CE class; 1CE or higher per metadata.
• Experience: five (5) relevant contracts or order numbers/fault numbers, within the last 10 years (Addendum 3; Annexure A amended to five entries).
• Documentation: verifiable references for previous work; Audited Financial Statements if tender value exceeds R10 million; tax clearance; CIDB, B-BBEE status; municipal rates clearance.
• Compliance: registration on the eThekwini Supplier Portal and National Treasury CSD; JDE ESP access.
• Evaluation: 80/20 price preference; compulsory clarifications; vehicle/equipment requirements (see Annexure; vehicles may be restricted per Addendum 1).
• Other: Compulsory Clarification Meeting; 120-day tender validity.

How to Apply

• Obtain documents from etenders or the eThekwini/Durban procurement sites (34377-5W Tender Document.pdf).
• Attend Compulsory Clarification Meeting: 15 September 2026, 11:00, 60 Kings Road, Pinetown Civic Hall (Addenda confirm location/time).
• Register pre-tender: on CSD, the eThekwini Supplier Portal, and obtain JDE ESP access (supplier.selfservice@durban.gov.za) with ID copy.
• Prepare and submit:
  • Hard copy via the Tender Box, 166 KE Masinga Road, Durban, by 02 October 2026, 11:00.
  • Electronic submission via the eThekwini JDE ESP system; hard copy submission is still the ruling version.
  • Returnable documents and forms (MBDs, CIDB, tax, etc.) and Annexure A (Five-contract schedule).
