Overview

The Border Management Authority is procuring roof repairs and waterproofing at the Customs House, reconfiguration of one office into a kitchen, and installation of blinds, plus related fit-out/maintenance work. Bids are suitable for South African suppliers with capabilities in building maintenance, waterproofing, interior fit-out, blinds installation, HVAC installations, and fire-safety servicing (and whose CIDB grade is 1 GB or higher). Bidder eligibility includes tax/compliance verification, BBBEE status, and capacity to meet South African employment and procurement requirements.

Requirements

• CIDB Grade 1 GB or higher (proof required).
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN or CSD number; TCS status; separate TCS/PIN per party in JV/consortia.
• BBBEE: active certificate or sworn affidavit; ability to claim specific-goal points.
• Complete and submit SBD forms: SBD1, SBD3 (Pricing Schedule), SBD4, SBD6.1; sign SBD7.1 where applicable.
• No “in the service of the state” bidders; comply with PFMA SCM conditions; and comply with supplier vetting (no fronting).
• Employment requirement: service providers must employ South African citizens or hold valid work permits.
• Lead times and price must be firm; bid validity is 90 days. Delivery/price implications are set in the pricing schedule.
