Overview

Design for Electrification of Diphagane village design services for rural electrification, to be procured by Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality. Open to electrical engineering/design firms with rural electrification experience; adherence to PPPFA and evaluation criteria applies.

Requirements

• Bids must be sealed, marked with project number/description, and deposited in the tender box at Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality, Jane Furse (before the closing date). (advert for Diphagane.pdf)
• Non-refundable deposit of R560 for hard copies; or download free from etender.gov.za.
• Tender validity: 90 days.
• Adjudication uses PPPFA 5/2000 and revised regs (effective 16 Jan 2023): 100 points for functionality, 80/20 for price/municipal goals; details in bid documents.
• Bids must be fully completed; bidders must initial each page and sign where required; lowest bid not guaranteed; municipality may reject incomplete bids.

How to Apply

• Obtain bid documents from Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality offices (22 June 2026 onward) or download from etender.gov.za.
• If acquiring hard copies: pay the R560 deposit; else download free.
• Complete, sign, and initial all tender documents as required.
• Submit a sealed tender in a marked envelope to the tender box by 22 July 2026, 12:00.
• Attend the mandatory briefing on 22 June 2026 at the Municipal Chamber.
