Overview

Design, Manufacture, Installation and Commissioning of the new Sulphuric Acid Bulk Tank at Duvha Power Station for a period of 10 months. Eskom is seeking a contractor to design, fabricate, install and commission a sulfuric acid bulk tank at Duvha Power Station (construction scope, 10 months). Suitable bidders are engineering/construction firms with chemical process/tank fabrication capability and relevant construction accreditation; CIDB registration and SHEQ capability are typically required.

Requirements

• Compliance with Eskom Standard Conditions of Tender and related procurement rules (no 100% subcontracting; basic compliance and mandatory returnables).
• CIDB registration as required by the Tender Data (proof due by closing; disqualification if not satisfied).
• Evidence of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) capabilities and related procedures.
• Returnable documents: Declaration of Shareholding/Beneficiaries, Acknowledgement, and SDL&I Undertaking by contract award (and other mandatory returnables as per Invitation).
• Designated materials/threshold information to be supplied by contract award.
• Provide two financial institutions for security of performance.
• Substantiate B-BBEE status (certificate/affidavit) for PPPFA points; CIDB-related goals may apply.
• Site visit/clarification meeting is compulsory; questions may be raised and addressed via Eskom process.
• Compliance with Life-Saving Rules and other safety/OSH requirements as per Eskom documents.
