Overview

Design, supply, installation, and commissioning for the replacement of the fire water pump stations and the booster pump station at ORTIA for a 24-month period. Eligible bidders must have CIDB 7ME or higher and demonstrated experience in water pump stations, high-pressure systems, hazardous facilities, or foam-system integration. Key personnel and governance requirements (engineers with active registrations, a project organogram, and safety oversight) apply. A non-compulsory briefing is on 14 September 2026; closing is 5 October 2026.

Requirements

• CIDB grading: 7ME or higher.
• Demonstrated experience: installation/maintenance of water pump stations, high-pressure systems, hazardous facilities, or foam-system integration (with signed client references).
• Key personnel qualifications and registrations (example): Resident Engineer; Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineers; Fire systems Practitioner; Occupational Health and Safety Agent; all with relevant SAQA/ECSA/SACPCMP registrations and 3–5 years post-registration experience.
• Returnable documents and a project-specific organogram showing seven required resources.
• Tax/compliance: SARS Tax Compliance Status, PIN or CSD number for each party; PINS or CSD where applicable.
• Contract framework: NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract with detailed data (e.g., 104-week completion window, performance bond, delay damages, final acceptance).
