Determination of the Reverse Engineering Data and, and Development of Technical Substantiation for the use of Aircraft Existing Maintenance Tooling

Overview

• Reverse engineering and technical substantiation for aircraft maintenance tooling, including engineering assessment, drawings, and specifications. SAAT seeks a suitably qualified firm to analyse existing tooling, develop engineering documentation, and provide substantiation to enable internal alternate tool equivalence. Suitable bidders include engineering firms with aerospace tooling experience, ECSA-registered professionals (Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech. Eng), and strong CAD/measurement capabilities. Compulsory briefing is required.

• Evidence of software capabilities (e.g., CAD)
• Lead Engineer (Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech Eng) with ≥3 years in mechanical design/reverse engineering; team with ≥3 years’ relevant experience
• In-house availability of required engineering software, equipment, and resources
• Project plan with milestones and realistic turnaround
• Payment terms: 30 days from satisfactory completion

Notes: The tender will be evaluated in phases with a minimum 80/100 to proceed to price. Preference points apply under the 80/20 or 90/10 rules depending on value. The final terms are subject to negotiation and a Letter of Award.
