Overview

Kenya Reinsurance Corporation Ltd invites sealed tenders for the disposal of assorted obsolete items (KRC/DISP/2026/2836/251). The sale covers multiple lots (e.g., scrap metal, office furniture, office equipment) listed in the Schedule of Items and Prices. Requirements

• Eligible tenderers: individuals or firms as described in the Appendix; not debarred or engaged in corrupt/fraudulent practices; Kenyan bidders must show a valid tax compliance certificate.
• Viewing of items before bidding; AS-IS condition; items priced in Kenyan Shillings; lots may be bid for separately.
• Tender deposit: required for each item/lot tendered (banker’s cheque), with deposits to be paid as detailed in the Schedule of Items and Prices.
• Mandatory forms: Form of Tender, Confidential Business Questionnaire Form, Tender Deposit Commitment, and self-declaration forms (SD1/SD2) plus Code of Ethics.
• Validity: tenders remain valid for 120 days from tender opening.
• Deposit rules and penalties: deposits are forfeited if withdrawing during validity or if awarded and balance is not paid; storage charges apply if items are not collected within the specified period.
• Reserve prices: Kenya Re will withhold items offered below reserve prices.

• Deadline and submission: sealed tenders must be delivered to Kenya Reinsurance Corporation Ltd, Nairobi, Attn: Head of Supply Chain, 14th Floor, Reinsurance Plaza, Taifa Road, by 25 August 2026 at 10:00 (TENDER DOCUMENT). Electronic tenders are not permitted.
