Requirements

• CIDB grading: 3CE or higher.
• CSD and Tax: registration on the Central Suppliers Database; SARS Tax Clearance / TCS PIN.
• Borehole-specific registrations: registration with Borehole Water Association of SA (BWA) and Ground Water Association of KwaZulu-Natal (GAKZN).
• Standards: GCC for Construction Works (2nd Ed 2010) and SANS 1921-1:2004 Part 1; QA, safety, environmental, and related preliminaries per the BOQ.
• EPWP compliance: local labour preference with targets (e.g., 55% women, 55% youth 18–35, 2% disabled); Local Labour within ward; CLO obligations; Labour-intensive components where applicable.
• HIV/AIDS and OHS: provide HIV/AIDS materials/programmes and a Construction Phase SH&E plan.
• Locality preference: preference for enterprises within King Cetshwayo/UmuKhanyakude/Zululand districts where feasible.
• Provisions for documentation, reports, and site requirements as stated in EPWP, health and safety, and contract data.
