Overview

The Eskom Invitation to Tender is for the supply and delivery of maintenance assets on a one-off basis at Matimba Power Station. Suitable bidders are suppliers of maintenance assets with NEC3 SC3 experience, able to meet Eskom’s QA (ISO 9001), OHS, and local-content requirements, and able to provide CIDB/CSD/tax clearances as applicable.

Requirements

• Eligibility and compliance: meet Eskom’s standard tender conditions; not restricted by National Treasury; no conflicts of interest; CIDB proof (where applicable); CIDB/JV requirements if a consortium; tax clearance certificates.
• Mandatory documents: Annexures A–J including SBD 1, SBD 6.1, SBD 4, E-tendering acknowledgements, CPA/local-content declarations.
• Quality and safety: evidence of a documented QMS (ISO 9001-aligned); OHS requirements (Annex B); BRA/OHS risk assessment; COIDA good standing; Eskom OHS induction compliance.
• Local content: Annex C–D–E (Local Content Declaration and related schedules).
• Pricing and contract: Pricing Schedule in PDF and Excel; NEC3 SC3 contract data and standard terms (including lead times, payment terms, risk allocation).
• Evaluation criteria: functionality threshold 70% (with detailed technical criteria); price and specific-goals scoring under PPPFA 2022; delivery lead times and related penalties.
