Overview

RFP to appoint a panel of suppliers for the supply and delivery of electrical materials (OHTE and substation consumables) on an as-and-when-required basis for 36 months in PRASA KwaZulu-Natal. Eligible bidders should supply electrical materials across six categories, demonstrate OTIF delivery capability, and hold appropriate accreditations (e.g., SABS-approved materials or equivalent QA bodies). Requirements

• Demonstrate capability to supply six material categories: cables/wires, signs/licences, insulators/isolators, steel components, consumables, general electrical material. (see ANNEXURE 2-CONSUMABLES.pdf)
• Compliance, registrations, and disclosures: CSD registration, SARS tax compliance (including TCS/PIN), and relevant legally mandated declarations; adherence to PPPFA/BBBEE and related forms (Forms A–H as per ANNEXURE 2-CONSUMABLES.pdf).
• Financial/insurance: evidence of liquidity (cash flow > R50,000) and insurance coverage for works/goods and public liability.
• Operational prerequisites: OTIF delivery within target timelines; evidence of accreditation for supplied materials (quality assurance and QA bodies); compliance with RSR and safety regulations. (see sections in ANNEXTURE 2 and ANNEXTURE 3)
