Overview

Procurement of an expanded panel of service providers for the planning, supply, installation, and commissioning of unlicensed microwave links for Sentech until 21 August 2028. Bidders should have microwave backhaul expertise, project-management capacity, and compliance capabilities (ICASA approvals, tax and BBBEE). Sentech may appoint one or more service providers per OEM (Bid SENT/012/2026-27). See attached documents for specifics (BID PACK.zip).

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience with unlicensed microwave links; capable of end-to-end delivery and sample link design. (Tender Data)
• Equipment capable of at least 250 Mbps full duplex at 15 km; pass a 20-minute test with specified metrics; provide link budgets and antenna specs. (Tender Data)
• ICASA type approvals or proof of application for proposed equipment. (Tender Data)
• 100% responsibility for management/quality of installation; adequate resources to meet timelines; on-site surveys. (Tender Data)
• On-site safety and OHS compliance; teams with safety gear and tower-climbing certification; road-worthy off-road vehicles and necessary tools. (Tender Data)
• Technical capabilities: Northbound SNMP, encryption, VLANs, Layer-2, QinQ, Jumbo Frames; ability to support CIR/MIR and Best Effort. (Tender Data)
