APPOINTMENT OF A CONTRACTOR FOR THE INSTALLATION OF WEIGHING SYSTEMS IN THE PORT OF DURBAN FOR A PERIOD OF TWELVE (12) MONTHS

Overview

Installation of weighing systems in the Port of Durban for a twelve-month period. This RFP targets bidders in construction/engineering with multidisciplinary capability to install and commission weighing systems, and requires CIDB 5ME+ and demonstrated professional registrations for key personnel.

Requirements

• CIDB grading of 5ME or higher.
• Attendance at the compulsory briefing/clarification session.
• Professional registration for key personnel: Construction Project Manager, Civil Engineer/Technologist, Electrical Engineer/Technologist, Mechanical Engineer/Technologist, Health and Safety Officer.
• Valid CIDB registration or capability to register prior to evaluation, plus proof of relevant professional registrations.
• Minimum functionality score of 60 points to progress to price/preference evaluation.
• Mandatory registrations and certificates: valid Tax Clearance, B-BBEE certificate (SANAS/ CIPC/ sworn affidavit for EMEs/QSEs), CIDB certificate, Central Supplier Database registration, and Workmen’s Compensation good standing.
