Overview

Appointment of a contractor for the supply and installation of a diesel storage tank at the Tug Jetty, Port of Durban, for a four-month period. This is a TNPA construction tender open to contractors and joint ventures, with CIDB 5ME or higher required, and NEC3-based contract framework. See the RFP for details (RFP DIESEL TANK.pdf).

Requirements

• CIDB: 5ME or higher (or a JV whose combined grading meets 5ME) and CIDB before evaluation.
• Compulsory briefing and site attendance: attend briefing on 07 Oct 2026; complete attendance certificate (T2.2-01).
• Key personnel: Construction Manager (NQF6, SACPCMP PrCPM or PMI PMP) and a SHE Officer (SACPCMP registration; 5+ years relevant experience).
• Returnable documents: Tax Clearance, B-BBEE certificate, CIDB certificate, CSD registration, Workmen’s Compensation letter; English forms only; no alternatives (T1.2; T2.2–04; T2.2–03).
• Functionality threshold: minimum 60 points to progress to price/preference evaluation (T1.2).
• Compliance: adherence to CIDB/SANAS requirements, confidentiality, and due diligence as described in the tender data.
