Overview

Procurement of a service provider to supply and deliver material, repair, test, and commission dipping tank system at Transnet Engineering Durban on a month-to-month basis for four months. Bidders should be mechanical/industrial engineering firms with capabilities in welding, galvanizing, mechanical piping, and electrical control systems, and hold CIDB grade 3ME or higher (or be capable of registration prior to evaluation). Also requires CIDB registration, tax clearance, B-BBEE, and Central Supplier Database registration.

Requirements

• CIDB: registration in a 3ME or higher class (or capable of registration before evaluation); eligibility for Joint Ventures with CIDB requirements.
• Minimum functionality: 85 points; evaluation includes Key Personnel, Project Lead Time, Methodology, and Company Experience.
• Returnable schedules: T2.2-04 Key Personnel Qualification; T2.2-05 Project Lead Time; T2.2-06 Methodology; T2.2-07 Company Previous Experience; plus attendance at compulsory clarification (T2.2-01) and CIDB registration (T2.2-01).
• Documentation: valid Tax Clearance, B-BBEE certificate, CIDB certificate, CSD registration, and Workmen’s Compensation good standing.
• Site/clarification: compulsory briefing/site visit; attendance certificate required.
• Other: no alternative tenders; English-only offers; due diligence possible; 12-week tender validity; price and specific-goal weight with 80/20 preference.
