Overview

Procurement of a panel of suppliers for the supply and delivery of OHTE and Substations materials (Signs and Licences) on an as-and-when-required basis for 36 months in PRASA KwaZulu-Natal region. Bidders should be experienced suppliers across six material categories (Cables/Wires, Signs/Licences, Insulators/Isolators, Steel Components, Consumables, General Electrical Material), with compulsory briefing and a 04 September 2026 closing, via PRASA KZN tender box in Durban.

Requirements

• Compliance: attend compulsory briefing; complete and sign returnable documentation; adhere to RFP terms.
• Technical/Functional: minimum 80/100 in the technical evaluation; demonstrated experience in relevant category; adequate financial capacity (see cashflow requirement); evidence via appointment letters/purchase orders and reference letters.
• Financial: liquid cash > R50,000 (scored); strong cashflow proof required.
• Insurance: insurance against works/goods and public liability.
• Compliance: tax compliance and CSD registration; SARS Tax Status/TCS where applicable.
• Qualifications/Certifications: accredited suppliers; QA/SABS or equivalent approvals for relevant materials.
• JV/Consortia: if applicable, sign agreements or confirmation to enter into one if awarded.
• Delivery scope: materials-only (no installation) with OTIF expectations; 30-day payment terms after invoicing.
• Evaluation: Stage 1 compliance, Stage 2 technical (min 80/100), Stage 3 price and specific goals (80/20), Stage 4 returnable docs.
