Overview

Procurement of the construction of operational facilities for the Infrastructure Maintenance Depot at the Port of Saldanha for a twelve-month period. Eligible bidders are entities with CIDB contractor grading designation 7CE/7GB or higher (or capable of achieving this before evaluation) and who meet CIDB/CSD/CPG requirements; the project targets experienced general contractors with NEC3 engineering and construction contract documentation, based at the Port of Saldanha (West Coast District).

Requirements

• Eligibility and qualifications:
• CIDB: 7CE/7GB or higher; CIDB registration before evaluation; pre-qualification requires key personnel with SACPCMP registrations.
• Professional registrations for critical staff (Pr. CPM, Pr.CM/CPM, CHSO, Pr.Eng./Pr.Tech.Eng. with ECSA) or accepted equivalents; JV rules apply if applicable.
• Returnable documents and compliance:
• Valid Tax Clearance, TCS PIN, SANAS BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit for EMEs/QSEs, CIDB certificate, CSD registration, and Workmen’s Compensation clearance.
• Functionality: minimum 60 evaluation points; detailed criteria in the tender data.
• Other: English language tender; no alternatives; confidentiality and disclosure rules; site and safety prerequisites.
