Overview

The procurement is for the design, supply, installation, commissioning and testing of the Sulphuric Acid Storage and Dilution Upgrade Project at Duvha Power Station, for a 24-month period. Bidders should be experienced in construction/infrastructure with sulfuric acid storage or chemical handling capabilities, hold appropriate CIDB registration, and comply with Eskom’s SHEQ, safety and integrity requirements. Site visit/briefing is part of the process.

Requirements

• Eligibility and compliance: comply with Tender Data; not under any restriction to do business with Eskom; tender not based on 100% sub-contracting.
• CIDB and pre-qualification: CIDB registration at closing or capable of registration within 21 working days; proof of CIDB registration to be provided at closing; actual CIDB print due at contract award.
• Documentation and returnables: complete mandatory returnables (e.g., Declaration of Shareholding or Beneficiaries Form.pdf; PART T2 RETURNABLE DOCUMENTS - T2.2 Tender Schedules (GENERAL)); SDL&I Undertaking due by contract award; cataloguing information if required.
• Certifications and compliance: proof of SHEQ systems and capabilities; compliance with relevant legislation (NTPs, CIDB, PPPFA, B-BBEE); provide B-BBEE certificate/affidavit; provide two financial institutions for security for performance.
• Technical/production: information on designated materials and thresholds to be submitted at contract award; functionality, price evaluation criteria, and arithmetical accuracy as per Tender Data.
• Safety and integrity: adherence to Eskom Life-Saving Rules; Eskom Supplier Integrity Pact commitment; safety, health and environment standards (SHEQ) and related procedures.
• Cataloguing and labeling: if required, provide cataloguing data and ensure proper labeling of delivered materials.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 28 August 2026, 10:00. Late submissions are not accepted.
• Submission method: electronic submission via the Eskom NT e-Tender Portal (E-Tendering). Do not submit by email; finalise/upload on the Eskom Tender Bulletin site by the closing time.
• Required documents to submit (examples; see attached files):
  • Declaration of Shareholding or Beneficiaries Form.pdf (filename shown in attachments).
  • PART T2 RETURNABLE DOCUMENTS - 1 - T2.2 TENDER SCHEDULES (GENERAL).
  • SDL&I Undertaking (annexure to the Invitation to Tender) by contract award.
  • CIDB registration proof (or evidence of application if not yet registered by closing).
  • B-BBEE certificate/affidavit (or deemed acceptable equivalent).
  • Proof of authority if an agent submits on behalf of a principal.
  • Cataloguing information if required (pricing schedule should include cataloguing line item).
  • Any other mandatory returnables specified in the Tender Data.
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: CIDB registration in the applicable class; CSD as applicable; compliance with National Treasury instructions and PPPFA; safety/health/environmental qualifications per SHEQ requirements.
• Site briefing: site visit/clarification meeting details will be stated in the Tender Data; compulsory attendance if indicated.
