Overview

Provision of Kendal yard lighting for Transnet SOC Ltd TPT Richards Bay (high mast and outdoor lighting with civil works). Open to entities with CIDB 3 EP or higher (or capable of registration), electrical contractors with wireman’s licence and CoC access, and teams including a civil engineer for foundation works.

Requirements

• CIDB: contractor grading designation of 3 EP or higher (or capability to register prior to evaluation); if a joint venture, each member CIDB and lead partner not lower than one grade below required with combined rating meeting the threshold.
• Functional thresholds: minimum 85 functionality points to proceed to price/preference evaluation.
• Electrical: suitably qualified electrician with wireman’s licence and Electrical CoC; electrical contractor registration with DoL; submit CVs, trade tests, licences and references.
• Civil: qualified civil engineer (BSC/BTech or equivalent) with CVs showing foundation experience and references.
• Documentation: valid Tax Clearance with TCS PIN; SANAS B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit for EMEs/QSEs; CIDB certificate; CSD registration; Workmen’s Compensation good standing.
