Overview

The University of Fort Hare invites bids for the provision of catering for the Music Festival. The RFQ seeks a professional catering service to supply food and beverages for an event with around 100 attendees plus additional staff (ushers, security, drivers) as outlined in the attached specification. Bidders should be able to deliver a full catering package (meals, finger platters, water and soft drinks, and related services) in line with the UFH specifications and must comply with standard SA public-sector bid requirements. Requirements

• Complete SBD forms: Declaration of Interest (SBD 4), Preference Points/BBEE (SBD 6.1), Past SCM Practices (SBD 8), Independent Bid Determination (SBD 9).
• Provide VAT registration, company registration, tax reference numbers, and identities for directors/trustees/shareholders as applicable.
• Submit proof of B-BBEE status (certificate or sworn affidavit) and state the claimed B-BBEE status level.
• Price evaluation uses an 80/20 split (Price 80, Specific Goals 20); Specific Goals include B-BBEE contributions and, where claimed, ownership criteria (e.g., 51% ownership in Eastern Cape).
• Indicate any subcontracting, including percentage, sub-contractor details, and B-BBEE status.
